Reinventing Education in a Digital World.
The Telefónica Foundation, IE University and South Summit have launched the call for the 4th enlightED Hybrid Edition 2021, to be held on the 19th, 20th and 21st of October in a new hybrid format. Since its creation in 2018, the education, technology and innovation world congress has brought together 470,000 unique viewers from 46 countries and 300 top-level international speakers and has become an established reference point in the field of educational innovation.
The three-day enlightED Hybrid Edition 2021 Congress will be attended by leading Spanish and international experts and thinkers, who will reflect and share solutions for three of the main gaps arising from the COVID-19 pandemic: the challenge of narrowing the innovation gap to transform education systems, that of resolving the lack of skills for the new social needs, and how to tackle the insufficiency of digital skills to re-establish the connection with young people and foster a positive change.
Some of the speakers who have already confirmed their participation in the enlightED Hybrid Edition 2021 are Howard Gardner, the psychologist, researcher and Harvard University lecturer known in the scientific world for his theory of multiple intelligences; Kiran Bir Sethi, the founder of Design for Change and The Riverside School in India and finalist for the Global Teacher Prize 2019; Michelle Weise, the author of Long Life Learning, ranked on the 2021 Thinkers50 list; Linda Liukas, the founder of Rails Girls, a worldwide movement of programming workshops for girls; Ignacio Medrano, the Chairman of Savana, a company that applies Artificial Intelligence to medical data; and Hadi Partovi, investor and technology entrepreneur and the founder of Code.org, where 30% of students in the U.S. have studied computing.
