Computer Engineering degree from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and Master’s degree from INSEAD. She joined Telefonica in 2001 as CEO of EDUCATERRA (now Telefonica Educacion Digital). Previously, she held different responsibilities at Arthur Andersen and Alcatel-Lucent.
She has more than 20 years of experience in the EdTech sector. Under her direction, Telefónica Educación Digital leads the online training sector in Spain offering integral learning solutions for Education and Training to more than 300 clients in Europe, the USA and Latin America with offices in Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Peru. Emblematic projects include Miríadax, the first Ibero-American platform for MOOCs in Spanish and Portuguese; ScolarTIC, a collaborative space for learning, innovation and best practices for teachers; SIELE, an online certification exam for Spanish; and the Telefónica Technological Institute.
Carolina chairs the Board of Education of the Cotec Foundation and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the CYD Foundation. She also regularly participates in international congresses on edtech.
